about
Kiara Hastings
I grew up everywhere—thirty-one houses, eight schools, two hemispheres: Australia, Wyoming, California, and a tiny three-mile-long island in the Bahamas, to name a few. Moving that many times teaches you something most people spend a lifetime learning: that places and possessions are transient, but who you are isn’t.
I’m a chronic doer. At 12, I was nannying. At 15, waitressing. At 16, orchestrating weddings. At 17, co-founding a business. At 19, walking runways at NYFW. If I couldn’t find an opportunity, I unlocked one.
Now, at 21, I’m a senior at Chapman University, where I’ve built a lens at the intersection of real estate, entrepreneurship, and tech—the industries I believe will define how the world moves and grows. I’m drawn to the deals, the structures, and the people who create synergies.
Beyond the work, I care about building a life that feels authentic—one rooted in connection, intellectual curiosity, and a sense of purpose that extends well past business.
I clear my head by moving my body—throw a sport out there, the answer is probably yes. I read voraciously: classic literature, poetry, wellness columns—anything with ideas worth chasing. There are always cups of oversteeped tea on my desk.
I’m someone who opens doors—literally and figuratively. I’ve always believed that life has as many doors as you believe you can open.
I’m always in pursuit of the next one.
